Jewels and Treasure

While playing Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, you may come across three special types of jewels: Goddess Jewels, Kappa Jewels, and Truth Jewels. These jewels cannot be sold or gifted to villagers.

You can store them in your cabinet or carry them in your rucksack. They are usually hidden throughout Mineral Town and inside rocks on specific floors of the Spring Mine and Lake Mine.

There are 9 jewels of each type, and once all are collected, they automatically combine or can be traded for a treasure item that helps with stamina and fatigue recovery.

Note: You don’t need to carry the jewels in your rucksack for the transformation to happen, but you must have at least one free Tool slot to receive the final treasure. If you’re having trouble obtaining the 9th jewel, make sure there’s room in your Tool tab.

After receiving the treasure for one jewel set, you must sleep overnight before the next jewel set will start appearing in the mines again.

Goddess Jewels & Goddess Treasure

Jewel Locations (Spring Mine):

  • Floors: 60, 102, 123, 152, 155, 171, 190, 202, 222

Each floor has only one Goddess Jewel, and it will not reappear once found. The appearance of the jewel is triggered when entering the floor. There’s a chance the jewel may not appear on your first try.

Use the two-slot save technique:

  1. Save before going down the stairs to the target floor.
  2. Use your second slot while searching. If you fall through a pitfall or the jewel doesn’t spawn, reload and try again.

If your rucksack is full when the jewel pops out of a rock, it will fall on the ground. Make space by discarding items like Black Grass or Scrap Ore.

Goddess Treasure:

Once you collect all 9 Goddess Jewels, the Harvest Goddess will appear, congratulate you, and trade the jewels for the Goddess Treasure.

  • Effect: Restores 1 Stamina Point every in-game minute when equipped as an active tool while outdoors.

Kappa Jewels and Kappa Treasure

Jewel Locations (Lake Mine):

  • Floors: Entrance (B1), 40, 60, 80, 120, 140, 160, 180, 255

The Lake Mine is accessible:

  • During Winter, when the lake freezes.
  • Anytime, if you have the Travel Stone from floor 255 of Spring Mine (available from Year 3 onwards).

Kappa Jewels are easier to find than Goddess Jewels, especially on floor 255. Use the same save/load method as described above.

Kappa Treasure:

After collecting all 9 Kappa Jewels, Kappa will appear and exchange them for the Kappa Treasure.

  • Effect: Recovers 1 Fatigue Point every in-game minute when equipped as an active tool while outdoors.

Truth Jewels & Truth Treasure

There are nine Truth Jewels hidden throughout Mineral Town. Unlike the Goddess and Kappa Jewels, eight of the Truth Jewels can be found by interacting with specific locations, objects, or shops. The ninth jewel can only be obtained after collecting the first eight.

1. Horse Stable

Enter the stable and stand in front of the water trough, then press the action button to collect the jewel.

2. Streetlight

Found on the north-south path between the Church and Rose Plaza. Interact with the streetlight to obtain the jewel.

3. Church Grounds

Inside the Church yard, stand in front of the Goddess statue and press the action button.

4. Library (Second Floor)

Go upstairs and check the middle-right bookshelf to find the jewel.

5. Medal Exchange

Win medals in the Spring or Autumn Derby, then exchange 1,000 medals for a Truth Jewel.

6. Huang’s Store

Visit Zack’s house at Mineral Beach when Zack is inside. Enter to access Huang’s shop, and buy the jewel for 50,000 G.

7. Town Villa TV

Win the New Year’s Harvest Goddess Quiz Show, aired on the Town Villa TV from Spring 1–5. The Town Villa must be purchased from Gotts (cost: 10,000,000 G, 999 Lumber, 999 Material Stone).

8. Mountain Cottage

Receive the Mountain Cottage as a gift from your spouse on your 50th wedding anniversary. Inside, check the calendar to find the jewel.

9. Final Jewel & Truth Treasure

Once you’ve collected the 8 listed above, visit Mayor Thomas’ house on Monday–Friday and press the action button in front of the fridge to get the final jewel.

Mayor Thomas will then exchange all 9 jewels for the Truth Treasure.

  • Effect: When equipped as an active tool, it displays your current Stamina and Fatigue Points on-screen.

Treasure Activation

To activate any treasure’s effect:

  1. Equip it from your Tool menu.
  2. Keep it set as the active tool while you’re outside.
    • Time doesn’t progress indoors, so the treasure has no effect there.
