Elly is a nurse at the local clinic in Mineral Town. She’s also responsible for taking care of her mischievous little brother, Yu, and her sick grandmother, Ellen. She spends most of her time working at the clinic but visits her grandmother on her days off.

Jennifer is a free-spirited nature lover. She has a tent she stays in up in the mountains during the day and sleeps at the Inn at night. She spends most of her time outdoors.

Karen is friendly, humble, and reliable, but she’s hoping for a little romance. She likes going to the beach or the Inn for drinks. She enjoys cooking, though her skills are pretty bad—even though her mom has tried to teach her.

Marie is the daughter of Basil and Anna. She has a kind and quiet personality and spends most of her time taking care of the library. On her days off, she goes to Mother’s Hill with her family or to the General Store with her mom.

Popuri lives at Po’Pooultry with her older brother Rick and their mom, Lillia. She loves chickens and helps out at the store as much as she can. Even though she sometimes acts like a kid, Popuri is cheerful and kind.

Ran is Dudley’s daughter, a lively girl who works as a waitress, cook, and helps manage her dad’s inn. She’s a bit of a tomboy, and her dad worries that might affect her chances of getting married.

The Harvest Goddess is a beautiful goddess who lives in the Goddess Pond at the base of the waterfall near the hot springs. Although no one else can see her, she’s always watching over the whole village—including you.
Eligible Bachelors

Brandon is a new character added in the Nintendo Switch remake. He’s a famous artist who loves working with wood. Brandon moves into the Gotts’ house to focus on his work.

Cliff is a wanderer who moves from place to place looking for a home. If you ask him to work in Duke’s vineyard, Cliff will become a permanent resident of Mineral Town.

Doctor takes his responsibilities very seriously. Even though he’s strict, he gets excited when you show interest in medicine and other topics he likes.

Gray is a hot-headed young man who moved from the city to live in Mineral Town. He works as a blacksmith under the guidance of his grandfather, Saibara.

Kai is a trader who comes to the beach every summer. He runs the Seaside Shack on Mineral Beach during the summer season. He’s more interested in sunbathing and will often say you work too hard.

Rick is the head of the Po’Pooultry household since his dad left to try to cure his mother’s mysterious illness. He’s under a lot of pressure to take care of the farm, his mom, and his little sister, Popuri.

Bon Vivant is a traveling food critic who visits Mineral Town once a year, on Spring 22 — the day of the cooking festival.

Huang is a trader who will greet you when you leave your house in the morning, telling you he’s setting up a small shop inside Zack’s house by the beach.

Kappa lives in the lake around Mother’s Hill. He appears after you throw a cucumber into the water. Kappa doesn’t talk much but will accept your offering and then return to the water.
Other Villagers

Anna lives with her husband, Basil, and their daughter, Marie. She’s not really interested in plants, unlike her husband. She finds her daily life a bit boring.

Basil lives with his wife, Anna, and their daughter, Marie. He’s a plant enthusiast who moved to Mineral Town to study the diverse plants around Mother’s Hill.

Carter is a priest who’s always ready to listen to anyone with problems and offer solutions when needed.

Dudley owns Mineral Town’s Inn. He lives and works there with his daughter, Ran. He takes care of the downstairs area and cooks meals for guests, while Ran manages the upstairs and cleans the rooms.

Duke owns Adge Winery. He spends most of his time taking care of his vineyard and has lived in Mineral Town all his life.

Ellen is Elly and Yu’s grandmother. She spends most of her time at home now because her legs have gotten weak with age.

Gotts is a lumberjack and carpenter who lives on the outskirts of town with Brandon. He loves the outdoors, and his workshop is in Mineral Forest.

Harris is the local police officer who lives with his father, Thomas, next to the General Store. Every day, Harris patrols the village to make sure everything’s okay.

Jeff runs the General Store in Mineral Town with his family. He’s a bit shy and needs some courage to stand up for himself.

Lillia is the mother of Popuri and Rick and manages Po’Pooultry in Mineral Town. Even though her kids can be hard to handle, Lillia is cheerful and always looks on the bright side.

Lou runs the Mitemi Inn in Forgotten Valley with her husband, Tum. She starts visiting Mineral Town on Sundays after you’ve given a total of 75 gifts to the Harvest Goddess.

Manna manages Adge Winery with her husband, Duke. You can often find her at home or at Rose Plaza hanging out with Anna.

Mei lives with her grandfather, Mugi, at Yodel Ranch. She loves spending time with him, even though he’s usually busy taking care of his animals and can’t always play with her.

Mugi runs Yodel Ranch in Mineral Town. He also sells cows, sheep, and alpacas that you can raise on your own farm.

Sasha manages the General Store with her husband, Jeff. She’s proud of their daughter, Karen. She thinks Karen is a good kid but wishes she would take better care of herself sometimes.

Saibara is a blacksmith who upgrades your farming tools and makes accessories that you can give to your loved one or sell.

Thomas has been the mayor of Mineral Town for a long time. His family has served the town for generations. He lives with his son, Harris, next to the General Store.

Van is a traveling merchant who sells all kinds of unique items and cute animals. He’ll come to Mineral Town on Wednesdays after you’ve thrown at least 30 gifts into the Harvest Goddess’s pond.

Yu is Ellen’s grandson and Elly’s younger brother. He’s a mischievous kid who often plays pranks on others. You can usually find him playing in front of the church with Mei and Carter.

After you get married, you can have a child with your spouse. In general, children-related events will happen naturally as you play the game.

Zack handles the shipping of goods coming in and out of Mineral Town. He lives in a shack on Mineral Beach near the dock, where he coordinates cargo movement.
Nature Sprites

Aqua is a Nature Sprite who wears sea blue. She’s careful and tidy and doesn’t like it when her clothes get dirty.

Blueberry is a Nature Sprite dressed in blue. She’s hardworking and likes to get things done.

Cherry is a Nature Sprite in red. She’s calm, responsible, and enjoys cooking as a hobby.

Mint is a Nature Sprite who wears green. She has a gentle and shy personality and doesn’t like working too hard.

Plum is a Nature Sprite dressed in purple. She’s an active forest fairy and can sometimes be a bit mature for her age.

Pumpkin is a Nature Sprite who wears orange. She prefers playing over working.

Sunny is a Nature Sprite in yellow. She’s a laid-back forest fairy who loves to eat.
