Saibara stops by to visit Ellen again because he happens to be in the neighborhood. Ellen tells him that he is always welcome, and maybe someday when her leg gets better, he can come visit her at home.
Ellen begins reminiscing about the times they went to the beach and mountains together. She misses those days because now she can’t go anywhere.
Saibara encourages her to stay positive, saying her leg will surely heal. When that happens, Saibara wants to take her to see the cherry blossoms in spring.
Saibara’s commitment to the future makes Ellen happy. She starts to tear up, but then notices you standing there and feels embarrassed. Saibara quickly steps back outside.
