Fishing

Fishing in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town is a relaxing and fun activity. You can spend the entire day casting your line and catching fish across Mineral Town.

How to Get a Fishing Rod

To begin your fishing journey, you’ll first need a Fishing Rod. To get one, simply visit Zack’s house at Mineral Beach between 10:00 AM and 3:30 PM.

Entering his house for the first time during this period will trigger a cutscene where Zack gives you a Fishing Rod for free. Make sure you have one empty slot in your backpack before visiting.

How to Fish

You can fish at any body of water. Stand near the water and use the Fishing Rod as you would any tool. When a fish bites, a “!” will appear above your character’s head. Press and hold the action button (Click on PC) to reel it in.

Fishing Spots

There are six fishing locations throughout Mineral Town:

  • Mother Lake
  • The small river and bridge leading to the summit
  • The waterfall by the Harvest Goddess’ spring
  • The stream running through your farm
  • The small pond in the Secret Forest
  • The ocean at Mineral Beach

As a beginner, you’ll mostly catch small fish. However, upgrading your Fishing Rod to higher levels at the Forge allows you to catch medium and large fish, rare items, and even Power Berry.

How to Get King Fish (Guardian Fish)

Sumber: FB – Cyanzan

There are 7 king fish in the game that can only be caught using a Fishing Pole of level Cursed, Blessed, or Mythic, charged to level 6 or 7. These fish are rare and some have special conditions that must be met before they appear.

Once you catch a guardian fish, it will be released back into the water. You cannot keep or sell king fish, but your catches will be recorded at the bottom of the Fish Memo in the bookshelf.
