Ellen greets you and explains that she is expecting Basil, the botanist, today. The botanist finally arrives and tells you that Ellen is going to share a story with him. Would you like to hear it too?
Ellen explains that long before either of you were born, she was told a story about a legendary flower that blooms only on summer nights. It is said to be a very beautiful flower called the Night-Blooming Cereus, but no one alive today has ever seen this mysterious bloom.
Ellen really wants to see this flower before she passes away. Basil is intrigued by Ellen’s story. If you happen to find this flower, Basil asks you to bring it to Ellen. He returns to his home to research this white flower.
The second part of this event takes place at the summit of Mother’s Hill. Walk to the observation area at the summit on a clear summer night between 9:00 PM and midnight. In the darkness, you will see the flower blooming in the open. Wow, this flower wasn’t here before.
You bring the beautiful flower to Ellen and Basil for confirmation. Both Basil and Yu admire its elegance. You hand the flower to Ellen, who confirms that it is indeed the Night-Blooming Cereus.
You explain to Basil that you found it at the summit, just as the story said. Ellen thanks you for finding this precious flower for her.
