Jennifer asks if you’ve seen Harris. You haven’t, so she says she’ll wait a little longer. Harris is expected to come by on his patrol, and Jennifer wants to give him something.
Soon, Harris walks by and greets you both. Jennifer mentions she heard from Gotts that Harris sprained his ankle while walking along the trail at night.
The news spread quickly. Harris admits it’s true — a bit embarrassing since he tripped over his own foot and hurt himself. But he was feeling better by morning, so it’s not a big deal.
Jennifer tells him he’s protected by the mountain spirits and doubts Harris would be in any real danger. Plus, since Harris patrols regularly, he feels safe in his tent.
