The types of gems you can find in Lake Mine rocks have changed in the Friends of Mineral Town remake. New additions include Aquamarine, Garnet, Jade, Sapphire, and Turquoise.
Alexandrite changes color depending on where you are—red while underground and green when you’re outside. It’s the only item you can find on floors 50, 100, 150, and 200, but it’s very rare, so you might only find one piece… or none at all.
Luckily, the Lake Mine elevator stops on Alexandrite floors. The easiest floor to farm Alexandrite is Floor 100, which has no traps to interrupt your gem hunt.
Trap Floors
There are fewer trap floors in Lake Mine compared to Spring Mine, but the deeper you go, the more likely you are to run into hidden pitfalls and traps. Here’s a list of floors with possible traps:
- Floors 10–68 (except floors ending in 9, like 19, 29, etc.)
- Floors 80–90
- Floors 130–140
- Floors 150–160
- Floors 170–180
- Floor 200
- Floors 240–248
You’ll often need to go down one floor at a time, so bring plenty of food to keep your stamina up.
Notable Items in Lake Mine
Underground Fishing Lake

On Floor 9, you’ll find a large underground lake. This is where you can catch the Coelacanth, one of the seven King Fish in the game.
To catch it, you must:
- Have already caught at least 5 King Fish
- Use a Cursed, Blessed, or Mythic Fishing Rod
- Charge the rod to level 6 or 7 before casting
Power Berry

You can dig up a Power Berry on Floor 19. Bring stamina-boosting foods or recovery items from the Clinic to help you get there safely.
Kappa Statue

A decorative Kappa Statue is hidden in the dirt between Floor 101 and 120. It can be placed on your trophy shelf, but it doesn’t give any benefits and can’t be sold.
Kappa Jewels

You can find nine Kappa Jewels in rocks located on the following floors:
- 0 (entrance), 40, 60, 80, 120, 140, 160, 180, and 255
Collecting all nine rewards you with the Kappa Treasure, which helps restore your character’s Fatigue (FAT).
Cursed Tools

To unlock the cursed tools, upgrade your basic tools (hoe, hammer, watering can, sickle, fishing rod, and axe) to Mithril level. Then you can dig up the cursed versions on these floors:
| Floor | Cursed Tool |
|---|---|
| 29 | Cursed Fishing Rod |
| 39 | Cursed Hoe |
| 49 | Cursed Axe |
| 59 | Cursed Hammer |
| 69 | Cursed Watering Can |
| 79 | Cursed Sickle |
These floors don’t have any traps, which makes farming them a bit easier.
Tip: Save your game one floor before the cursed tool floor. Then, go down one floor. If you don’t find the tool, reload and try again.
* Make sure to leave at least one slot open in your backpack!
