Autumn Festival

Like other Story of Seasons games, Friends of Mineral Town features various festivals in each season. During Autumn, there are seven festivals you shouldn’t miss:

• Concert (3 Autumn)
• Mom’s Memorial (5 Autumn)
• Harvest Festival (9 Autumn)
• Moonlight Night (13 Autumn)
• Autumn Derby (18 Autumn)
• Fluffy Festival (21 Autumn)
• Pumpkin Jamboree (30 Autumn)

Autumn 3 – Concert

On Autumn 2, Carter will visit your farmhouse in the morning to invite you to a music concert happening the next evening. You can choose to join or decline.

If you accept, head to the church between 6:00 PM and midnight on Autumn 3. Carter will be waiting outside. Let him know you’re ready, and he’ll welcome you in.

• You’ll earn +5 FP with each villager you talk to.
• If you agreed to help, you’ll play the orcarina during the concert and earn an extra +10 FP with everyone present.
• If you didn’t volunteer, you’ll just watch the girls perform — no bonus FP points.

Autumn 5 – Mom’s Memorial

This is not a festival but a special yearly event. On 5 Autumn, you won’t find Dudley anywhere in the Inn.

Go to the summit of Mother’s Hill between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and you’ll find Dudley there alone. He’ll explain that today marks his late wife’s memorial day, and he spends it in quiet reflection.

Autumn 9 – Harvest Festival

The villagers gather to cook a giant pot of stew using ingredients contributed by everyone. You can also bring a food item to add.

Enter Rose Plaza between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM to join the event. You’ll get +5 FP with each villager you talk to beforehand.

Bring an edible item to toss into the pot, then speak with Mayor Thomas to submit it. Ingredients that restore stamina—like Milk, Eggs, or Vegetables—are ideal.

Bad ingredients (e.g., Poison Mushroom, Red Grass) will result in black stew that drains stamina, but won’t negatively affect friendship.

• Good ingredient: Delicious soup
• Bad ingredient: Dark-colored, stamina-draining soup

Autumn 13 – Moonlight Night

On the night of 13 Autumn, head to Mother’s Hill summit between 6:00 PM and midnight to stargaze.

Whoever waits for you there will be your marriage candidate with the highest affection (Green Heart or above). You can’t choose who shows up.

Talk to them to be asked whether you’d like to watch the moon together:

If you’re holding Moon Dumplings during the event, your date will mention them, and you’ll hand them over, gaining an additional +1000 LP.

You can learn the Moon Dumplings recipe from the Delicious Cooking TV show. It requires Dango Flour + Seasoning Set. Flour is sold at the General Store for 100 G each.

• If you’re married, only your spouse will appear.
• The event ends at 6:00 AM at your farmhouse.

Autumn 18 – Derby

On 17 Autumn, Mayor Thomas will visit you in the morning to invite you to the Horse Derby held the next day.

If you have a fully grown horse, he’ll ask if you’d like to race. Agreeing means he’ll temporarily take your horse for the event.

Attend the event at Rose Plaza between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Speak with villagers for +5 FP each. There will be three races total.

Talk to Thomas to:

• Start the races
• Buy betting tickets
• Exchange medals for prizes

Betting:

You’ll see four horses and their odds. Lower odds = better chance to win (but fewer medals). Example:

• Horse #1 (odds: 5x) → Higher chance
• Horse #2 (odds: 26x) → Lower chance

Winning medals = tickets × odds
Tickets cost 100 G each, and you can bet on multiple horses.

Racing Your Horse:

Your horse races in Race 3. You can even bet on your own horse.

• Tap the Click button (PC) to dash.
• When stamina bubble turns red, stop tapping to recover, then resume.

Winning with your own horse grants:

• +20 FP with villagers
• Power Berry (only the first time)

Prizes (Medals Exchange):

• Truth Jewel and Power Berry can only be exchanged once.
• Other items can be traded multiple times for profit.
• Brooch offers the best return for 18 medals (1,800 G).

Leave the plaza after Race 3 to be taken home with your horse at 6:00 PM.

Autumn 21 – Fluffy Festival

On the morning of 20 Autumn, Mugi visits and asks if you’d like to enter an animal into the Fluffy Festival.

You can enter a Sheep, Alpaca, or Angora Rabbit if:

• They’re not pregnant
• They have fleece

Animals recently sheared are ineligible. Do not shear:

• Sheep/Alpaca after 13 Autumn
• Angora Rabbit after 15 Autumn (fur regrows in 5 days)

Also stop Nature Sprites from brushing/shearing your animals to keep them festival-ready.

Attend the event on 21 Autumn at Rose Plaza between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

• Talk to villagers: +5 FP each
• Speak to Mugi to begin judging

If you win:

• +20 FP with each villager
• Fluffy Festival Trophy (first win only)

Winning animals with 8+ hearts can now produce:

The trophy can be sold to Huang for 48,000 – 57,000 G. You’ll get another trophy every time you win again.

Autumn 30 – Pumpkin Jamboree

During the morning, three young girls will come by your house looking for sweets.

Giving dessert to:

• Mei or Yu = +20 FP
• Popuri = +1000 LP

Acceptable gifts include:

• Chocolate (bought at General Store)
• Homemade Baked Yam (Yam + Oven)
• Homemade Baked Apple (Apple + Frying Pan)

Dessert must be categorized as a “Dessert” recipe to count.

If you’re married, a second celebration happens inside your house between 6:00 PM and midnight.

• With spouse: +1000 LP
• With child: +20 FP

Note:

• Popuri won’t visit if you marry her; she’ll join the evening dessert party instead.
• This event is unavailable if you married Kappa or Harvest Goddess.
