In Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, giving gifts is one of the best ways to increase your relationship with villagers. Birthdays are especially important, as any gift given on a villager’s birthday will be worth 5 times more FP/LP than on regular days.
Tips for Gifting on Birthdays
- Wrapped gifts (available for 100 G each at the General Store) provide a 25% bonus to FP/LP.
- Ideally, give a liked or loved gift to maximize relationship gain.
- Even disliked gifts will still yield 5x the usual points on birthdays, but use caution.
- If unsure about a gift’s effect, save your game beforehand and reload if necessary.
- Only marriage candidates have a “Favorite” gift level.
- Marriage candidates also have alternate birthdays to avoid conflicts with the player’s birthday.
