Jeff’s Art Sale (Event)

You enter the back room of General Store and are greeted by Jeff and Sasha. The three of you start chatting when Sasha hears someone calling from the front of the store. She goes to check and returns with Huang.

Huang introduces himself as a traveling merchant and asks Jeff if he paints. Jeff confirms he does, but says it’s just a hobby.

Huang explains he happened to see one of Jeff’s paintings and was really impressed. He asks if Jeff would be willing to sell his paintings.

At first, Sasha thinks Huang is joking. Huang insists Jeff truly has artistic talent, which calms Sasha down a bit. Sasha then asks how much Huang would pay for a painting.

After a moment’s thought, Huang offers 10,000 G per painting. Sasha is quite happy with that price and is ready to sell.

However, Jeff isn’t excited. He tells Huang that his paintings aren’t for sale. Huang and Sasha both wonder why Jeff isn’t interested in making money.

Jeff explains that he doesn’t paint for money — he paints from the heart. Selling his paintings would feel like selling a part of himself.

Even though it would be a good business deal, Huang understands Jeff’s feelings and withdraws his offer, leaving the store.

After Huang leaves, Sasha praises Jeff for how much he loves what he does.
