Van is a traveling merchant in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life (SoS: AWL). He’s known for his love of quirky and rare items.
He visits Forgotten Valley about twice per season to set up shop and sell a wide variety of goods — many of which can’t be found anywhere else.

Van’s Store
Van’s shop is open from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM on the days he’s in town.
Selling to Van
- You can sell items to Van by talking to him after he sets up his stall.
- You’re limited to 10 unique item slots per transaction, but stack sizes can be as large as allowed.
- Van has unlimited funds, so there’s no cap on how much he can buy from you.
- Great place to sell items that can’t be shipped via the shipping bin, making him a useful way to earn extra money.
Shop Inventory & Upgrades
Van is the main source for:
- High-tier tools (up to Gold),
- Outfits and cosmetics,
- Home decorations,
- And unique items.
When buying tool upgrades, Van will:
- Give you the new, upgraded tool immediately,
- And take your old tool in exchange.
- His stock will rotate yearly, so check in every season!
