San mentions that Kate has been keeping her busy lately, so she’s constantly doing laundry. She thanks Chris for how Hugh has been such a good friend to Kate.
Chris replies that it’s nice to see the kids getting along, but she does worry that Kate might get hurt by all the roughhousing. San agrees—it’s great they’re having fun and getting along.
They both reflect on how Forgotten Valley is a wonderful place for children, with lots of beautiful spots to explore. It’s much safer than the city.
San nods in agreement. They used to live in the city, and she was always worried that something bad might happen to Kate every day. One thing they both agree on: traveling back and forth to the city from the valley is definitely a hassle.
